VIRTUAL GROUP CLASSES

Virtual classes are a great way to stay connected as a community that wants to get healthy and stay healthy together!  

 

Exercise is critical for keeping up our mental and physical health. If you love your Pilates routine, as many of our clients do, you can enjoy a class in the comfort of your own home, no need to travel, and still have the motivation of a live instructor.

Litchfield Hills Pilates offers two types of virtual classes:

  • Live Stream

    • ​Virtual Pilates for Strength and Balance takes place Tuesdays and Fridays at 10am. Sign up and you'll receive an invite to join prior to class.

  • Recorded Class

    • You'll find your class options for the week on Sundays.  Class does not happen at this time but sign up for the class recording(s) you would like by Sunday evening to receive a recording via email on Monday. ​

    • Please note: some class recordings are offered every other week.

Here is what you need to get started with virtual class:

 

*a good internet connection 

 

*a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone

 

*set up a zoom account

 

*A thick mat or a mat and a blanket.  Additional props are recommended, but not required.  Generally the class incorporates the magic circle, 1-2 pound hand weights, yoga straps, therabands, an overball, a small towel, a small pillow, a small ball (tennis ball or pinky ball) and a chair, couch or countertop.  We will get creative with what you have, don’t worry! Water bottles or soup cans make a good substitute for hand weights.  A belt or towel is a good substitute for a yoga strap. Substitutions will be mentioned throughout the class. 

 

*Prepayment and a completed waiver of liability is required before attending class. See our pricing page and waiver that can be signed and returned online or print a copy and mail it in.  

 

* An invite with a link will be emailed to you prior to class. To maintain security and privacy, please do not share the link or post it on social media.

 

*All classes are 55 minutes.

Virtual Pilates for Strength and Balance
Live stream every Tuesday and Friday at 10am

Pilates is a safe form of exercise for people in their 50’s, 60’s and older.  It’s a low impact form of exercise which strengthens muscles, improves core fitness and balance. This class was originally created for older clients and now includes clients of all ages.  Pilates for Strength and Balance addresses body awareness, muscle strength, muscle endurance, range of motion, balance, coordination and motor planning.  The props listed above are suggested but not required.
